When the owner of Houston Metro Security started the company in 2005, he immediately seen this lack of training and experience and pushed for more training and education to better enhance the security industry in Texas.

There are now many professional security training schools and programs who teach specialized training and other courses in the areas of arrest, search, seizure, report writing, use-of-force, etc.. This is of the benefit to both the security company and the client. 

The days of the "flash light" security guards are now becoming a thing of the past.

We believe this negative public perception of security was created by fly-by-night security companies who sacrifice training and experience with low rates to make a quick dollar, movies portraying security in a negative way, and misinformation by the off-duty police industry. 

Consequently, you see poorly dressed security officers who lack education, decorum, or any reasonable notion of their job responsibilities.  You get what you pay for.
